Revue française de socio-Economie, 2024, vol. n° 32, issue 1, 111-130
Abstract:
While the relationship between public action and economics is well documented, this article focuses on home economics in its political dimension, from a political science perspective. Based on a review of historical and sociological research, and on first-hand materials, it sheds light on how the respective roles of banks, schools, and the state regarding audience identification, the definition of economic knowledge, and its transmission have settled since the French Third Republic.
