Abstract:
Despite the common framework established by the GDPR, the room for maneuver it has left to the Member States in terms of health data has led to a fragmented landscape today in terms of access to health data (II), leading to major difficulties in carrying out projects on a European scale. The European Commission has nevertheless taken concrete steps since 2020 to move towards a European governance of health data (III). The creation of a European health data space will be the outcome.
