Abstract:
While the impact of information and communication technologies (ICTs) has been extensively studied in agricultural production techniques, their use in short food supply chains (SFSCs) remains little studied up to now. This is particularly the case for transport and logistics organizations (TLOs), which are nevertheless strategic for off-farm sales. Shaped in response to the needs of product exchanges between producers and consumers, TLOs come in many different forms. This article proposes an interpretation of the diversity of logistics needs in terms of the economics of convention on the one hand, and the multiplicity of TLO forms studied in terms of the economics of services on the other, leading to the hypothesis of a diversity of modalities of the inclusion of ICTs in the TLOs of SFSCs. A study conducted in the Hauts-de-France region in 2018 corroborates this hypothesis.
