Abstract:
This paper is presenting the evolution of NGOs in Uzbekistan from the point of view of national politics and policies. Major sectors of NGOs activities are presented with foreign donors from USA or multilateral. The situation of many intellectuals and NGOs managers is shown before considering the end of NGOs in Uzbekistan since 2005. This context is interpreted as a failure of the export of western democracy, so called transition.
