Abstract: Daniel Delaunay ? Mobility, residential segregation and demographic bonus in Santiago de Chile The economic prosperity of Santiago de Chile, one of the most segregated territories of the continent, makes the city an adequate case study concerning the relationship between inequality, residential segregation, territorial and social mobility. The approach of the study is demographic as far as it focuses on three temporalities of mobility and segregation practices : life course, generational history and urban trajectory impacted by the demographic bonus. To achieve this goal, the statistical analysis of census microdata will be done, covering the whole population, by socioeconomic categories, including different profiles of inactive people, who also contribute to the urban fabric. The study focuses on these elements between 1992 and 2002, in a context of historical decline of poverty and profound change in metropolitan employment. The results emphasize the demo-economics of segregation and in particular the contribution of intra-urban mobility.
