Abstract:
) to private ownership. These reforms have two effects on the property market of communal land located on the periphery of Mexico City. On the one hand, they create a new property market (formal market) ; while on the other, the reforms make the regularization of human settlements difficult, since new institutional mechanisms are applied. This paper analyzes both the new property market (formal and informal) and the regularization phenomenon.
