Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to explore the increasingly important economic, financial and political relationship between India, China and African countries. Our focus is to compare India and China and how their respective partnerships with African countries play out in trade, investments, aid or access to natural resources. This article analyses the positive and negative impacts of these relations, their risks and opportunities as well as their role in the resilience of Africa in the current financial crisis.
