État Providence et politique du logement en Algérie. Le poids encombrant de la gestion politique des rentes urbaines

Madani Safar-Zitoun

Revue Tiers-Monde, 2012, vol. n°210, issue 2, 89-106

Abstract: This article proposes an interpretation of the rationales and social movements (social networks for the collection of residential property and land, urban riots, etc) that have appeared in the past few years as a result of access to the residential properties produced and distributed by the State, considering this point to be central in the current social and political context.. These properties, which are very largely subsidized because of the economic advantages that they provide indirectly (rental escape) or directly (speculative sale on the market), have become the forms which crystallize urban revenues as forms derived from oil revenue.
