Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to quantify and analyze the gap between the development regions of Romania through formulas that reveal the existence or not of the convergence types. The statistical data were obtained from the National Institute of Statistics (Statistical Yearbook) but also from Rural Development Agencies and the analyzed period is from 2000 to 2009.
