Abstract: Fragility of economical environment subject to a dynamic process of globalization in recent decades has been demonstrated abundantly, year 2007 representing an important point in terms of triggering the accentuated macroeconomic imbalances. The propagation of the financial crisis in the economic environment is clearly reflected by the contraction of the global economy after a long period of growth, the emphasizing of budget deficits, reducing wages, increase of unemployment. Romania was significantly affected by the global economic crisis, amid a long line of inadequate policies. The orientation excessive economic development through consumption and the unfavorable ratio between income and productivity are issues that have contributed significantly to the decline of the Romanian economy. Inadequate measures taken have worsened the effects of crisis: reducing foreign investment, increasing of trade deficit, reduction of living standards, decreasing the number of SMEs, worsening the institutional weaknesses etc. In this paper, are addressed aspects which highlights the effects of economic policy measures promoted in Romania after the transition to market economy, on stages, specifying measures necessary to ensure the functionality of coordination mechanisms, in order to register determinant impulses of economic growth.
