Abstract: Following the changing economic and social context in which public organizations operate it increased expectations for their responsible behavior. Constant expectations appear in the involvement in the local community area and on overall impact on society and environment. Social responsibility is becoming increasingly important as a strategic organizational approach, and not just a peripheral activity linked exclusively to reputation and image of the organization. In this work we intend to analyze and interpret employee perceptions from Calarasi Gendarmerie on environmental policies and the social responsibility programs and actions concerning involvement in the local community in order to improve those aspects of social responsibility in a public organization.
