Abstract: In this article, the authors conducted a comprehensive study on how the main macroeconomic performance indicators of the EU member countries evolved. In this context, a comparison is also made between the way these indicators have evolved in the main EU Member States, showing positive or less positive results for each country. The main macroeconomic results indicators are presented in turn, the focus being of course on gross domestic product but also on other indicators such as gross national income, national income, investments, gross added value and many other macroeconomic aggregates that make sense and contribute to the evolution of each country's economy. In the study, a number of theoretical aspects are clarified and, based on the data they have received, the authors have revealed how gross value added has changed in which each sector of activity expresses its results. Synthetic charts and tables were also presented, including a series of data that have significance in the study and especially the conclusions drawn.
