ANALYSIS OF THE ROMANIAN TRADE BALANCE IN THE CONTEXT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract: The aim of the paper “Analysis of the Romanian Trade Balancein the Context of COVID-19 Pandemic” is to analyse the Romanian FOB exports and the Romanian CIF imports in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. Our research goal is to identify and analyse the most important section of FOB exports and CIF imports of Romania thatare influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic in comparison with the figures from the same period of the previous year. The expected results are to know the most important export and import sections of the Combined Nomenclature, the structural modification in the evolution of these industries, the section of FOB exports and CIF imports that areinfluencing by the COVID-19 pandemic. A special interest we had for the trade result amounted in the analysed period, the partner countries holding the first 10 places in the total amount of FOB exports and CIF imports and to provide recommendations for the improvements of Romanian export and import activities.
