Abstract:
The Member States of the European Union have adopted a series of fiscal measures aimed at mitigating some of the worst negative financial effects of the coronavirus crisis. Since February 2020, Member States' budgetary policies have focused on reducing the short-term impact of measures to curb the movement of people and reducing demand on revenue and employment. The paper presents in addition to the effects of fiscal measures as a share of GDP in the Member States of the European Union and their impact on macroeconomic indicators, namely the reflection of total revenues and total expenditures as a share of GDP over the period 2019-2022.
