Abstract:
Human society, without the power of denial, cannot exist in the absence of a general order and structures designed to achieve this. In the context the public order and safety organizations playing a fundamental role, we aimed to justify the importance of public image as a guarantor of credibility. The paper identifies aspects from specialized literature aiming to justify the importance of public image as well as a system of evaluation of the institutional image, specific to the field of order and public safety. Moreover, the applicative part continues this direction and tries to identify concrete elements which can be used by public order and security organizations to contribute to a good communication with citizens, using external feedback as a method to improve the quality of services. The main research hypothesis was that the image can be evaluated and even more, we can identify benchmarks on how external feedback can be capitalized, contributing significantly to increase the degree of citizens’ confidence and implicitly the quality of public safety services.
