Abstract: In a continuously evolving and increasingly competitive environment, as companies and organizations are always subject to change and must adapt accordingly in order to meet the targeted performance and productivity requirements, in order for the human capital - an organization’s most valuable resource - to attain performance and results in the long run, leadership becomes an essential variable, key to not only individual and organizational performance, but also to outgrow competition. In achieving these results, come into play the dynamics of the leaderemployee relationship. In this article, we will discuss how in the present-day, a relationship between leaders and employees based on good communication and mutual trust can influence and impact both individual and organizational performance.
