Abstract:
The entrepreneurial universities concept’s formation took several stages including the development of entrepreneurship in West ern universities XIX - mid XX century; linear model of innovation; Etzkowitz H.’ model "Triple Helix"; Clark B.R.’ approach; process approach. Particular attention is paid to the role of the entrepreneurial university in socio-economic region’ development, also it is found a place of business universities in the educational strategy of Russia.
