Abstract: The article considers the mechanism of price regulation in the pharmaceutical market of Russia and the analysis of its main shortcomings. The author provides official data on the dynamics of prices of medicines and the results of author's studies of the level and the dynamics of price changes in the Russian pharmaceutical market. He provides the description of possible changes in state regulation of prices for medicinal products.
