U.S. Strategy in Syria: decision-making process

Alexey Bezrukov ()

Outlines of global transformations: politics, economics, law, 2016, vol. 9, issue 3

Abstract: The article deals with some specific features of the U.S. strategy formation in regard to Syria at the time of the escalation of the military conflict between President B. Assad and the opposition. On the basis of the analysis of the U.S. mechanism of foreign- policy decision making process a conclusion is made that the Syrian policy of the White House doesn’t reflect to the full extent the national interests of the USA and is a result of the struggle in American internal policy.
