Abstract:
In Romania, in 2007 there were introduced on the market 1.28 million tonnes of packaging. Half o this amount was managed within the “Green point” system and accounted for a 36% recycling rate. According to EU regulation, new member states should achieve a global recycling target of minimum 55% in 2012, with some exemptions: Latvia has the most important exemption, until 2015, Poland and Bulgaria until 2014, and Romania and Malta until 2013.
