Abstract: The article contains a short overview on the main issues regarding the Romanian energy policy. There is a presentation of the production and consumption tendencies, the government intervention modalities, the energy markets characteristics, the present situation of the Romanian energy sector, its SWOT analysis, the measures to be taken and the needed financial resources.
