Abstract:
The development and improvement of the pulp and paper manufacturing industry in Romania consist in fulfilling the following strategic targets: modernizing the potentially viable output capacities and creating new ones so that one can obtain an annual average increasing rate of the industrial output of about 5%; improving and renewing the technological innovation in all the enterprises functioning in related fields by expanding the research-development process within the production unit and by implementing new methods and devices; improving the quality of the competitive products on the local and foreign markets in the view of increasing the volume of exports and reducing imports down to the strictly necessary products; rendering less toxic and health damaging the technological pulp and semi-pulp manufacturing process by reducing down to 50% the polluting substances discharged in the waste waters and the chemical substances in the air.
