Abstract: In the services sector of Romania the innovating enterprises weight of only 17%. The activity sector is characterized by the application of the product and process innovation, or exclusively process innovating. While the introduction of new products on the market represents a form of innovation for 5% of the total number of innovating enterprises. Implementing other innovation forms (methods) ( such as: organizational innovations, market innovations, changes of business practices or foreign relationships), identifcation and utilization of the sources of information in the innovation field, the cooperation with other business partners at national but also at international level , can determine the stimulation of the innovating process in the sector of services and especially in the small and medium-sized enterprises.
