(English) Active observation: the IRPPS’s web site under the magnifying glass (Italiano) Osservazione fattiva: il sito dell’IRPPS sotto la lente d’ingrandimento

Abstract: (English) The IRPPS website was subjected to continuous monitoring for over a decade. All versions that have occurred over time have taken into account the static analysis of web log, ie the traces left by visitors, as well as the evolution of the communication needs of researchers of the Institute. The current version uses a lot of on-line open source material found in the network in order to achieve a shared interface with the IRPPS staff who is empowered to update the pages of its competence. That can give flexibility to the website unlinking the users from the availability of personnel skilled in the publication of web pages. The present work contains, in addition to a description of the statistical analysis carried out on the visits to the website, a section that can be used as an user manual for publication of web pages on the website in question. (Italiano) Il sito dell’IRPPS è stato sottoposto ad osservazione continua ormai da più di un decennio. Tutte le versioni che si sono succedute nel tempo hanno tenuto conto delle analisi statiche dei web log, cioè delle tracce lasciate dai visitatori del sito, oltre che dell’evoluzione delle esigenze comunicative dei ricercatori dell’Istituto. La versione attualmente on line utilizza molto materiale open source presente in rete allo scopo di ottenere una interfaccia condivisa con il personale IRPPS che ha la facoltà di aggiornare le pagine di propria competenza, dando flessibilità al sito e svincolandolo dalla disponibilità di personale specializzato nella pubblicazione di pagine web. Il presente lavoro contiene, oltre ad una descrizione dell’analisi statistica effettuata sulle visite al sito, anche una sezione che può essere utilizzata come manuale utente di ausilio per la pubblicazione di pagine web sul sito in oggetto.
