Abstract:
El cumplimiento de estas misiones permitiría duplicar el PIB per cápita de Santander y reducir.---------------------------------------------- Santander 2050 is a medium-run economic and social development strategy for the department of Santander. The strategy is built on a framework of mission-oriented policy and incorporates both quantitative and qualitative analysis. The extent of civic participation in its development is particularly notable, with more than 1,300 people involved. The strategy addresses a context in which the department is Colombia's fourth-largest economy but has grown relatively slowly compared with the rest of the country and has faced challenges stemming from the dynamics of the oil and gas sector. The strategy also considers six global macro-trends that will affect the department's economy over the next 26 years. In practice, it proposes nine missions that, collectively, have the potential to transform the department. Achieving these missions would double Santander's GDP per capita and reduce the monetary poverty headcount by 250,000.
