Abstract: This research aims to analyze the relationship between economic, social and digital performance in cities of different sizes in Brazil. Data provided by the following official agencies: National Treasury Secretariat, National Mayors' Front and Risk Classification Agency were used. Pearson's correlation was used to identify the influence of digital, social, and economic performance variables in cities divided into groups based on the number of inhabitants. There was a strong correlation between Communication and Information Technologies and social and economic aspects. The greater the needs of cities, the more intense is the use of Communication and Information Technologies, reinforcing the establishment of the perspective of smart cities.
