Abstract: This document is an analysis of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Colombia in the last three decades, it captures the importance of this source of funding for the growth and economic development of the country, the relative weight that has the FDI in the balance of payments and the sectors in which FDI has greater importance and impact for the national economy.
