Abstract:
This research, conducted by the Management and Marketing (M&M) research group at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL), sought to understand the experiences of interns and trainees within the Faculty of Economic Sciences. To this end, a Design Thinking-based workshop was designed and implemented during the 2025-1 semester, and it allowed us to collect the emotions, perceptions, and challenges encountered before, during, and after the professional internship or traineeship of a student. The study combined literature review, collaborative development of the Design Thinking workshop, data collection, transcription, and grouping, and qualitative analysis using NVivo. The Insights show that the concepts of employer branding, employee journey, and employee well-being function as an integrated system where clear communication and consistent interpersonal relationships increase the satisfaction of students participating in internships and traineeships.
