Abstract:
This paper presents a literature review about the gender effects of trade liberalization with emphasisin Colombia. In addition, it reviews sorne theoretical approaches about trade and its interrelations withgender, poverty, inequality and labour markets.Based on the existing literature about the socialeffects of trade in Colombia, it concludes with sorne considerations for empirical research.
