La calidad de las ofertas turísticas en el departamento de la Guajira-Colombia

Abstract: El presente artículo, es producto del proceso investigativo llevado a cabo en el departamento de la Guajira, cuyo objetivo fue evaluar la calidad de las ofertas de los destinos turísticos mediante el uso de indicadores de accesibilidad. El desarrollo del trabajo empírico requirió encuestar a 195 gerentes de los destinos turísticos y a 272 turistas que visitaron la zona durante las vacaciones de enero y la semana santa del 2012. Los resultados, destacan recursos turísticos con ventajas en cuanto al ecoturismo y el etnoturismo; además de las limitaciones en la calidad de las ofertas. Las principales conclusiones, se relacionan con el potencial turístico subutilizado dada la variedad de su inventario natural y étnico, el cual puede generar grandes oportunidades de desarrollo y gestión de empresas sociales. ****** This article is the result of the research process conducted in the department of La Guajira, whose objective was to evaluate the quality of the offers of tourist destinations using accessibility indicators. The essay development required surveying 195 managers and 272 tourist destinations tourists who visited the area during the holidays January and Easter 2012. The results highlight tourism resources advantages in ecotourism and ethno-tourism, and the limitations on the quality of the offers. The main findings are related to the tourism potential underutilized given the variety of its natural inventory and ethnicity, which can generate great opportunities for development and management of social enterprises.
