Prediction Markets as an Example of Crowdsourcing

Abstract: The aim of of this article is present the idea of crowdsourcing by defining this phenomenon and to provide basic typology of crowdsourcing. In the next step, the author presents in detail the prediction markets, which are a practical example of the implementation of the idea of crowdsourcing. The article is descriptive and systematizing knowledge of the prediction markets.
