The limits and the specific instruments of policy evaluation

Abstract:
This paper offers arguments that policy evaluation should be considered and researched as a distinctive field with its own challenges and limits. The paper puts forthsome of the approaches that might be useful in policy evaluation endeavors. In order to achieve this task, the definition and some of the most important concepts of evaluation are reviewed first, using a variety of sources. The concluding discussion emphasizes some of the directions for research in the area of policy evaluation, singling out strategies as a useful policy tool for the use of policy evaluation attempts.
