Edu - Tech Enterprise, 2025, vol. 3, 40

Abstract: Construction projects require effective construction supply chain risk management (SCM). To delve deeper into CSM research, this manuscript conducts a literature scan covering the period from 2020 to 2024. The findings of this analysis identify that the main aspects of risk management address in detail the following aspects, the classification of risks at the micro (individual or entity) or macro (systemic or industry-wide) level, the common orientations used to identify, calculate, coordinate and minimize these risks, and the progressive vision and use of artificial intelligence (AI) applications. Through an exhaustive Scopus search, the transcendent and most distinguished articles on supply chain in the construction sector were determined for analysis. The exploration determined that, while the usual techniques such as case studies, surveys and other statistical tools are still fundamental, more and more AI methods are being used, especially in risk characterization, estimation and analysis.
