Behavior of occupational accidents in the employees of the operations plant of CSA Masaya- Nicaragua 2021

Abstract: Objective: Analyze the behavior of work accidents among employees of the CSA Masaya-Nicaragua operations plant in 2021. Methods: A quantitative research approach was implemented, with a non-experimental type of research. An Instrument designed and validated by the authors was used to consult a secondary source based on a review of the Clinical records and the accident rate report for the year 2021. Results: a probabilistic sampling was applied, with a sample of 53 collaborators, the sex more affected was the male 81.8%, between the age of 18-29 years with 64%, the majority were contractors 60.4%, the type of work risk was mechanics in 88.6%, the nature of the injury, bruises and internal injuries in 62.3%, location of the injury was the upper limbs 56.6%, severity of the injury, minor accidents without casualties in 86.8% and the main cause, unforeseen event in 51%. Conclusion: Men under 30 years of age suffer more accidents at work, as contractors and during daylight hours, the type of occupational risk was mechanical, with a severity of the injury as mild without sick leave, the main cause, accidental cases.
