Abstract: Plain language is a fundamental tool in public administration, as it facilitates communication between the State and citizens, promoting transparency and citizen participation. Its implementation in government institutions eliminates language barriers, optimizes administrative efficiency, and strengthens trust in institutions. Internationally, several countries have adopted strategies to ensure the drafting of accessible and understandable documents, consolidating plain language as a pillar of democracy and social inclusion. This article analyzes its impact on public administration, highlighting its background, benefits, and the need for its adoption in public policies. It concludes that plain language not only improves the understanding of regulations and services but also empowers citizens, ensuring equitable access to information and strengthening democratic governance.
