International Journal of Innovative Science and Research Technology (IJISRT), 2026, vol. 11, issue 07, 2023-2026

Abstract: The rapid expansion of digital technologies has transformed how organizations collect, store, and use personal information. While data has become a critical asset for innovation and economic growth, it has also introduced significant risks related to privacy, security, and public trust. This paper examines the evolving landscape of data protection in the digital age, analyzes the challenges organizations face in safeguarding sensitive information, and evaluates strategies for building trust through responsible data governance. Drawing on recent research, regulatory developments, and industry practices, the paper argues that effective data protection requires a combination of technological safeguards, ethical decision-making, and transparent communication with users.
