Abstract: This article describes the role ofregions in the economy is determined by objective preconditions for regional studies, disclosed the subject of the research «regional economy», described the location of the course «regional economy» in the scientific acceptance of the link between other economic disciplines, articulated the role ofregions in economic development of the country.
