Abstract:
The article discusses Russian and international modern theoretical aspects of the functioning of the health system. The essence of the categories: «health», «medical service», «the market of medical services». Clarified the relationship and correlation of concepts in the field of health and medicine. Noted that medical services are trust benefits and therefore difficult to assess the quality of their delivery. The market of medical services is classified by the degree of monopolization and competition level. Refined measures of state regulation in the context of public and private health sectors.
