Abstract: The article deals with the current practice of assessing the effectiveness of investment programs implemented at the state and municipal levels. The existing methods of evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of budgetary funds at all levels of the budget system are summarized in this article. The article also includes developed ways of improving evaluation municipal programs, depending on the form of implementation of the local issues.
