Modern approaches to studying the phenomenon of poverty

Abstract: The article is devoted to the main modern approaches and interpretations of the concept of poverty. Various types of poverty and categories of poor people are considered, the main causes of poverty are shown. The analysis of the characteristics of poverty as an economic, social, socio-economic, socio-phiiosophical and socio-cultural category. The article proves the necessity of an integrated approach in the study of poverty phenomenon.
