Abstract: Science is practical and originates applicable knowledge that benefits humanity. The objective of this study was to analyze science as a bridge to scientific knowledge. A bibliographic review was conducted, the technique used was content analysis, fifteen articles (n=15) were chosen from the main databases, such as Scopus, Scielo and Web of Science, following the specified inclusion/exclusion criteria. The bibliographic analysis provided insight into perspectives on the transformation of data into information, combined with abstract reasoning to generate knowledge. It is concluded that science plays a crucial role in human progress, since it allows us to solve problems using various methods, which serve as a basis for new forms of research and social and technological development
