Proposal for a Cerebrovascular Disease Course on the Moodle Platform

Abstract: Introduction: cerebrovascular disease is among the leading causes of death and disability worldwide. The development of a course on this pathology contributes to increasing knowledge for making this challenging diagnosis.Objective: to develop a course proposal on the Moodle platform for the diagnosis and management of cerebrovascular disease.Methods: a qualitative pedagogical study was conducted. The educational teaching process was observed in the context of the use of new information and communication technologies. The following theoretical methods were employed: systematization, historical-logical methods, and documentary analysis.Results: a virtual course on the Moodle platform for the diagnosis and management of cerebrovascular disease, featuring five instructional units, each with different resources and activities designed to meet the stated objectives, is proposed.Conclusions: this learning model allows healthcare professionals to update their knowledge flexibly and represents a fundamental contribution to continuing medical education.
