Abstract: This study assessed the effectiveness of the Bank of Zambia’s ZMW 10 billion COVID-19 Targeted Medium-Term Refinancing Facility on SME performance. Using a descriptive research design and hierarchical regression analysis, the study examined impacts on gross revenue, net profit, and employment levels. Results reveal statistically significant positive effects across all three performance indicators. The findings emphasize the importance of improved accessibility, transparency, and adaptive policy design in strengthening SME resilience during economic crises.
