Abstract: The preservation of classical ballet technique faces unprecedented challenges in the contemporary educational landscape as modern pedagogical approaches increasingly influence traditional training methodologies. This study examines the complex relationship between progressive educational practices and the maintenance of classical ballet's foundational principles, exploring how contemporary teaching strategies impact the transmission of time-honored techniques while addressing twenty-first-century learning needs. Through comprehensive analysis of current pedagogical trends, this research investigates the tension between innovation and preservation in ballet education, examining how feminist pedagogy, reflective practice, and student-centered approaches affect classical technique instruction. The study reveals that modern pedagogical methods, while enhancing student engagement and critical thinking, present both opportunities and challenges for preserving authentic classical ballet traditions. Findings indicate that successful integration requires careful balance between progressive teaching strategies and adherence to established technical foundations.
