Health Leadership and Quality of Life, 2024, vol. 3, .34

Abstract: Acute diarrheal disease (ADD) continues to be one of the world's public health problems, mainly affecting underdeveloped countries. The objective was to analyze the risk factors that influenced acute diarrheal diseases in the La Paja community of the Calderón parish. A cross-sectional descriptive observational study was conducted with a mixed approach, with a sample of 28 families composed of 99 people. It is concluded that the risk factors associated with the disease in the study population are drinking water, insufficient or absent sewage disposal, and excreta, which constitute a danger to the health of the inhabitants.
