Chamorro Valencia, Hurtado Lomas, Diego Paúl Fiallos Arteaga and Isea Arguelles

Health Leadership and Quality of Life, 2024, vol. 3, .569

Abstract: The objective of the research was to analyze the protection of adolescents from domestic violence, using a quantitative approach and a documentary-bibliographic methodology. This allowed exploring the topic through theses, scientific research, laws and refereed works, in order to identify characteristics and relationships between the elements of the problem. In addition, a questionnaire was applied to adolescents from Otavalo. The results conclude that the State, as guarantor of the rights of adolescents, has the responsibility to eradicate this problem, in which international organizations have also become involved due to the increase in domestic violence. Adolescents, often silent out of fear, face serious psychological and social consequences
