Abstract: Currently, medical universities and health institutions are concentrating efforts to confront the COVID-19 pandemic. This reality manifests the need for adequate preparation of the doctor specializing in Imaging in relation to the imaging spectrum of patients with COVID-19 and its sequelae, permanently and continuously for their professional performance. The objective of this research was to present the implementation of the strategy to overcome the imaging spectrum of patients with COVID-19 for doctors specializing in Imaging in the province of Pinar del Río. An intervention study in medical education was carried out in a population of 60 specialists. The viability of the strategy was studied as a variable. Three methods were used as the socialization workshop, the satisfaction survey and the evaluation of the quality of the imaging reports. The socialization workshop allowed the description of the images, which favored the preparation of these specialists to carry out advanced practices. In the assessment of the satisfaction survey, the results confirmed the satisfaction of professionals regarding the specific skills achieved. Regarding the quality of the reviewed exams, the following results were obtained regarding optimal quality: chest x-ray (86%), chest ultrasound (100%), and chest computed tomography (100%). In conclusion, the implementation of the Improvement Strategy showed its relevance and feasibility, confirming the transformation in the performance of Imaging professionals in correspondence with the demands of the professional needed by the Cuban health system.
