Periodic medical check-ups and adherence of the nursing team in a public hospital in the northern area of Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina

Abstract: Introduction: Nursing is exposed to different risk factors that can negatively impact their health, these can be chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic as well as psychosocial factors. Medical check-ups allow not only to obtain information on the state of health, but also to adopt preventive measures, identify risks, accidents and diseases. In order to be able to carry out the necessary treatments to prevent or reduce the consequences of possible diseases. As health professionals, nurses provide quality care to people, satisfying basic needs, promoting health, preventing diseases, accompanying families and communities. to know the types of periodic medical check-ups and the adherence of the nursing care team in a public hospital in the northern area. Methodology: quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, prospective and descriptive study. The population consisted of nursing care teams from the emergency ward and inpatient wards, with a total of 22 people with a seniority of more than one year, the data collection technique was through a survey and the instrument was a questionnaire. the nursing care team that performs periodic check-ups represents a lower percentage compared to those who do not perform them. Of those surveyed, fewer perform periodic medical check-ups and it was found that adherence is low in this group
