Abstract:
Women's professional growth has been a significant source of concern in recent years. Every year, a number of workshops and seminars are held to assist women in overcoming the obstacles they face in the workplace. This is attributable to the most critical characteristics of the global labor market in the last half of the twentieth century, which encourages women to participate actively in economic life. As a result, the study was entirely conceived by concentrating the issue of the glass ceiling on the advancement of women's professional careers in Romanian industry. The analysis was carried out to decide what obstacles they face and the consequences of their presence in the Romanian business world. The analysis is also comparative, with quantitative studies to see whether obstacles and consequences are experienced differently by female workers in companies versus female entrepreneurs. The findings revealed a significant relationship between the barriers faced by both categories studied, but no connection between the effects produced and the environment in which they work. The conclusions summarize the findings, as well as the research's limitations and potential solutions to the issue.
