Abstract: ABSTRACT. The aim of the article is finding the ways of improving the efficiency of the system of financing of educational institutions. Results. The basic principles, methods, sources and tendencies of improving the financing of educational institutions are reviewed. Conclusions. The development of financial policy towards education must be based on the primacy of the social efficiency over the economics in this sphere.Â
